Royal Enfield has officially launched the much-anticipated Shotgun 650, and biking enthusiasts can get their hands on this beauty starting from Rs 3.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The Motorcycle was first unveiled at Motoverse 2023 in Goa, where bookings kicked off, and now, the bikes are set to hit the stores from February 15, 2024. Excitingly, test rides and deliveries will commence from March 2024.

CEO of Royal Enfield, B Govindarajan, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Shotgun 650 is a symbol of the united pulse of the custom community, and an ode to the longstanding tradition of customising Royal Enfield motorcycles.”

Inspired by the SG650 concept showcased at EICMA 2021, the Shotgun 650 comes in four stunning colors: Sheet Metal Grey, Plasma Blue, Drill Green, and Stencil White. Packed with features, it boasts an LED headlamp, a neo-modern nacelle, and a digi-analogue instrument cluster with a built-in navigation system. Adding to its allure is the Royal Enfield Wingman, an in-app feature that keeps riders updated on live location, fuel and engine oil levels, and service reminders. It even sports a USB charging port for added convenience.

Ergonomically designed, the Shotgun 650 offers mid-set foot pegs, a 795-mm seat height, a new handlebar position, and a comfortable floating single seat. Its suspension system comprises a 43-mm Separate Function Big Piston Showa fork at the front and twin-tube five-step preload adjustable units at the rear. The bike rolls on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless tires, coupled with 320-mm discs at the front and a 300-mm disc at the rear. With a 13.8-litre fuel tank and a weight of 240 kilograms (wet), it promises a thrilling ride.

Power

Under the hood, the Shotgun 650 boasts the same powerful engine as the Super Meteor 650. The 648-cc, parallel-twin, SOHC, air-and-oil-cooled motor churns out 47 hp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm, paired with a smooth six-speed gearbox.

For those eyeing specific variants, the Custom Shed version in Sheet Metal Grey is priced at Rs 3.59 lakh, while the two Custom Pro variants in Plasma Blue and Drill Green are both priced at Rs 3.70 lakh. Topping the range is the Custom Special variant in Stencil White, priced at Rs 3.73 lakh, all ex-showroom. So, get ready to embark on a thrilling journey with the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650!
