Making history in Indian sports, Divyakriti Singh has become the first woman from the country to receive the prestigious Arjuna Award for her outstanding achievements in equestrian sports. The ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, saw President Droupadi Murmu bestowing the coveted award upon Divyakriti, a moment of triumph for the Asian Games Gold medalist in equestrian sports, who stands as the sole female recipient of this honor.

Hailing from Rajasthan, Divyakriti Singh’s achievement not only brings pride to her but also to her home state. She has marked a significant milestone, being the only individual from Rajasthan to receive the Arjuna Award not only this year but for the past five years.

Sharing her happiness, Divyakriti expressed, “Receiving recognition and appreciation from our Hon’ble President is a source of immense pride for the equestrian sport and our noble companions, the horses. This experience is truly humbling, and I want to convey my heartfelt thanks to my family and my horses, whose unwavering support has played a crucial role in my accomplishment of this remarkable feat.

An alumni of The Palace School in Jaipur and Mayo College Girls School in Ajmer, Divyakriti Singh has been honing her skills in Germany for the past three years at the renowned Hof Kasselmann dressage yard in Hagen.

Divyakriti Achievements.

In September, she contributed to the Gold Medal victory of the Indian Dressage team at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. Following that, Divyakriti showcased her prowess by securing an Individual Silver and two Bronze medals at the International Dressage Competition in Riyadh last month, achieving career-best scores amidst tough international competition with riders from around the world.
